Bittern and their wetland homes need all the help we can give them to recover.
In association with our partner groups and the Love Bittern project, we’re hosting a community workshop at the Motueka Library on Wednesday 8 October to help raise awareness for Bittern.
This informative workshop runs between 9am and 1pm and will offer some fascinating insights into the bittern life cycle, behaviour and threats – as well as monitoring technology and conservation management.
There’ll also be a visit to nearby Otuwhero wetland to see and understand the habitat of these important birds.
